What is Web 3.0?

Crypto Glossary Definition

Web 3.0 refers to new paradigm of building websites. Rather than each website redundantly storing user data in their own database (such as having an account on Twitter or Youtube), a website can simply connect to a crypto wallet in order to log in. That same crypto wallet will allow a user to log into any web 3 compatible site. A separate account for each site is not necessary. Each website will not need to store user data, and if the website ever gets hacked, there will be no sensitive information to leak. This allows users to truly own their data and take it with them when they stop using a website.
